The synopsis provided on Barnes & Noble states: "Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful—too beautiful for words. Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever."
Wings is a great read that I really enjoyed. It provides a new perspective on fairies, somewhat akin to the trend started by Eoin Colfer and Holly Black, and follows an entertaining love story.
ReplyDeleteIt is YA lit so it's quick but not diminished for it.
Oh cool! I downloaded the e-book, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. (And you know how I feel about YA Lit, so I am quite excited to read it now!!!) I read all of the Eoin Colfer Artemis Fowl stories when I was in middle school, but I've never heard of Holly Black.
